When we first visited the village of Chuong, we were lucky to meet Ms. Loan who was drying Non leaves in front of the yard, her small figure  with a Bell hat on her head covering the daily worries. And then she was always enthusiastic to help and introduce the village, since then our journey to discover the village of Chuong started.

During the first trip organized by Sworld, attendees included both adults and students. People sorted the leaves together, made leaves, exposed the leaves. After that, together tried the stages of making a conical hat.

The sentence we still remember as the attendee exclaimed: “Oh my God, why do you make a conical hat with many stages and take so much time?” No one uttered a word. Yet, since the past, people here have lived by making a hat with one of them ranging from 60,000 – 100,000 VND. Usually 1 day, skilled people only make 2-3 hats

The great thing about this journey is that you can design for yourself the works on the Chuong hat to be soulful and colorful. In addition, everyone blew their souls into the hat more vividly by stories presented in a humorous and creative way.

Ending the journey, everyone was happy and brought a joy to return to Hanoi. And we, with a mission to bring people closer and experience more with folklore and craft villages!

We would like to thank Ms Loan, Ms Hoa and the people here for us to feel the love in the countryside, enthusiasm and help us experience the wonderful culture at Chuong village, as well as thanks to the attendees who participated in our experiences and challenges.
